Biography
Professor Nguyên Khôi Nguyá»…n is an interdisciplinary artist and educator. His cartoons have been featured in The New Yorker and ²Ñ³¦³§·É±ð±ð²Ô±ð²â’s. Professor Nguyá»…n is the vocalist/pianist of the jazz trio, Superior Cling, and creator of Mom’s Viet Kitchen, a cooking website that shares family recipes and the stories behind them. The Baker Prize, a Rubys Artist Grant, and an Independent Artist Award are among Professor Nguyá»…n’s accolades. Previously, Professor Nguyá»…n served as the senior video producer/editor at Science Magazine. As a digital media professor at Âé¶¹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú, he teaches video, graphics, animation, comics, and more.
Professor Nguyá»…n studied visual art at The Cooper Union, earned a B.A. in Music and Integrated Arts from Bard College, an M.M. in Jazz Piano from the University of Maryland, and an M.F.A. in Studio Art from Towson University. He lives in Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and two sons.
