Loyola names PNC Bank鈥檚 Laura L. Gamble as Business Leader of the Year

L. Gamble, PNC鈥檚 regional president of Greater Maryland and Northeast territory executive,
as the 2026 Business Leader of the Year. The award honors business executives who
embody Loyola鈥檚 Jesuit commitment to community and service in the leadership of their
organization.
Gamble will be honored 麻豆官网首页入口鈥檚 annual Business Leader of the Year event Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore. For more information, visit the Business Leader of the Year website.
鈥淟aura Gamble has been an influential and impactful business leader in our region for decades,鈥 said Mary Ann Scully, MBA 鈥79, dean of Loyola鈥檚 Sellinger School. 鈥淪he not only has successfully led a major, complex financial services institution, but also consistently has a seat at the table when major decisions that influence our community are made. She leads with expertise, integrity, and deep concern for making the communities where we live and work better. As regional president, Gamble is the senior banking executive in the region accountable for the growth of PNC's core businesses in Greater Maryland. Gamble was named the Northeast territory executive in March 2021, overseeing the regional president's organizations in Delaware, District of Columbia, Maryland, New England, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining PNC in April 2012, Gamble spent more than 25 years in banking and finance, including seven years as president of Bank of America, Maryland. She also led a variety of businesses within Bank of America, including commercial banking, treasury management, and wealth management.

Gamble is a trustee emerita and former chair of the Baltimore Community Foundation, a trustee of Mercy Health Services, and a member of the Baker Fund Board of Governors. She is a member of the executive committee of the Greater Baltimore Committee, a member of the board of the Maryland Bankers Association, chair and board member of Central Maryland Transportation Alliance and chair of the governing body of Athena Powerlink.
Gamble has been recognized as one of the Most Influential Marylanders as well as one of the Top Women in Maryland by The Daily Record, where she also received the publication's 2024 Icon Award. She was also named one of "13 People to Watch" and Baltimore's Power 10 award winner by the Baltimore Business Journal.
Gamble earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
