Meet the Staff

Don Brennan
Don Brennan he/him/his Director of Residence Life & Housing
As the director of Residence Life & Housing (RLH), Don provides leadership and vision to residential operations and experiences at 麻豆官网首页入口. Don provides strategic planning and decision making to lead his team to develop a program that meets the needs of all residential students while living the Jesuit values of our institution. Don supervises the Residence Life and Housing leadership team which includes two Associate Directors and a Program Assistant while providing indirect supervision to the Area Coordinators, Graduate Assistants, and student staff. 聽

Don brings more than 15 years of experience in residence life and student affairs, including leadership roles at Penn State Brandywine and Alvernia University. Most recently, he served as Interim Director of Student Affairs and Assistant Director of Residence Life at Penn State Brandywine, where he provided leadership for residential operations, student engagement, crisis response, orientation, and student support initiatives.

When Don is not working, he spends his time watching Disney movies or playing Pok茅mon with his nieces and nephews.

Kate Charles
Kate Charles she/her/hers Area Coordinator - Newman Towers

Kate manages Newman Towers, which houses sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Kate works to ensure the safety and security of these halls and provides support and resources to the 700 students who reside in the community. Kate supervises the 17 Resident Assistants (RAs) in Newman.

Before working as an AC here 麻豆官网首页入口, Kate held positions as an Area Coordinator at McDaniel College and an Area Coordinator at La Salle University. Kate earned a Bachelor's degree in English from Alfred University and a Master鈥檚 in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration from the University of Rochester.

Nia Johnson
Nia Johnson she/her/hers Program Assistant
As the Program Assistant, Nia provides administrative support to the department and is responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Office of Residence Life & Housing. Nia welcomes visitors and answers phone calls, emails, routine inquiries, and mail; refers questions, issues, and requests as needed. Nia handles multiple tasks simultaneously while upholding a dedication to customer service. Nia creates and edits written communications, forms, and documents for the office and supervises the Office Assistant team.

Before working 麻豆官网首页入口, Nia held roles as an Assistant Teacher at the Kennedy Krieger Institute and an Office Manager at Enon Baptist Church. Nia earned a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Psychology from Hampton University.
Ashline Jules
Ashline Jules she/her/hers Area Coordinator - Eastside Apartments
Ashline manages the Eastside Apartments, which include McAuley, Ahern, Aquinas, and Rahner Village. Ashline works to ensure the safety and security of these halls and provides support and resources to the 430 students who reside in the community. Ashline supervises the 10 Resident Assistants (RAs) in the Eastside community.

Before working as an AC, Ashline held roles an Off Campus Living Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University and a Testing Center Assistant at the College of Southern Maryland. Ashline earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Towson University.
Thomas Mannion
Thomas Mannion he/they Area Coordinator - Seton, Southwell, Hopkins, Lange, Gardens
Thomas manages Hopkins Court, Seton Court, Southwell Hall, Lange Court, and the Gardens apartments (Avila, Bellarmine, Claver, Dorothy Day). Thomas works to ensure the safety and security of these halls and provides support and resources to the 810 students who reside in the community. Thomas supervises the 17 Resident Assistants (RAs) in the community.

Before working as an AC 麻豆官网首页入口, Thomas previously worked as a Resident Director 麻豆官网首页入口 University of Chicago. Thomas earned a Bachelor's degree in Interpersonal Communications from Salisbury University and a Master's of Education in Educational Leadership and College Student Affairs from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.聽
Sunettee Sharpe
Sunettee Sharpe she/her/hers Area Coordinator - Thea Bowman
Sunettee manages Thea Bowman Hall. Sunettee works to ensure the safety and security of these halls and provides support and resources to the 340 students who reside in the community. Sunettee supervises the 9 Resident Assistants (RAs) in the Thea Bowman community.

Before working as an AC, Sunettee held roles as an Assistant Hall Director at the Univeristy at Buffalo and as a Leadership Coach at Rutgers University. Sunette earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies at the University of Cape Coast in Ghana, and a Master's degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration at the University at Buffalo.
Bern Smith
Bern Smith she/her/hers Associate Director of Housing Operations

As the Associate Director for Housing Operations, Bern manages many of the major processes students engage with throughout the year. This includes housing assignments, opening and closing of the halls, and the room change process. Bern works with the other members of the housing operations team to update the housing portal, RoomRez, and make changes to our processes to meet students' needs.

Before working 麻豆官网首页入口, Bern worked as the Assistant Director for Residential Education, First Year Communities - Boston College, a Community Director at the University of San Diego, and served as an AmeriCorps member at New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. Bern earned a Bachelor鈥檚 of Science from Villanova University, a Master鈥檚 in Public Administration with a Certificate in Non-Profit Management from Villanova University, and a Master鈥檚 in Business Administration from Boston College.

Jae Whitlow
Jae Whitlow he/him/his Associate Director of Residential Education
As the Associate Director of Residential Education, Jae oversees and coordinates the experiences students have when they live on campus, looking holistically at student needs. Jae works with other members of the department, as well as campus partners, to plan large-scale programs. Jae manages the strategic planning for the Intentional Living Communities, RA Recruitment & Selection, and RA Training initiatives. Jae supervises two Assistant Directors.

Before working 麻豆官网首页入口, Jae held roles as the Director of Campus Life at Millersville University, the Inaugural Director of Dr. Rita Smith Wade-El Intercultural Center at Millersville University, the Assistant Director of Multicultural Programs and Campus Activities at Millersville University, and Coordinator of Multiculturalism and Inclusion at Morehead State University. Jae earned a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Journalism from the University of Kentucky and a Master鈥檚 in College Student Personnel from the University of Dayton.
