Pre-Fall Programs

Get an early connection to Loyola and your classmates! Loyola鈥檚 Pre-Fall Programs
offer you the opportunity to jump right in to one of our four experiences that take
place prior to the beginning of Fall Welcome Weekend, giving you a chance to arrive
to campus a few days early and ease into your first year 麻豆官网首页入口. From outdoor wilderness
experiences to service immersion, you can explore some of the exciting aspects of
Loyola and its surrounding communities.
As a participant in a Pre-Fall program, you will meet a variety of people who share
similar interests. You will get to know fellow students and spend time with Loyola
administrators and faculty outside the office or classroom. We challenge you to take
this opportunity to meet new people and acquire new skills. Whatever your interests,
Loyola offers a program that is right for you.

Pre-Fall Programs
B'More Rooted: Where Belonging Begins
B鈥橫ore Rooted: Where Belonging Begins is a pre-fall program with the McAuley Women鈥檚 Center for first-year students with a commitment to gender-based equality. Through community-building, values exploration, reflection, and service in Baltimore focused on women, students discover themselves and their place in the community while forming meaningful connections. Rooted in Jesuit values, B鈥橫ore Rooted helps students start their Loyola journey grounded in belonging, possibility, and purpose鈥攚hile having fun along the way.
MAP: A Navigational Tool for Student Success
MAP is designed to assist first-year students in acclimating to campus life 麻豆官网首页入口. Specific objectives of the program are academic enhancement, intercultural exploration, social adjustment, and community service.
Outdoor Adventures
First-year students on the Outdoor Adventure Pre-Fall Program will explore the natural world, reflect on their upcoming college experience, and learn the intricacies of one of seven adventure activities on this exciting, overnight camping trip. Students are placed in small groups with student trip leaders, paddling, hiking, or climbing during the day and camping each night. The student instructor teams will also address questions and lead discussions on issues often in the minds of first-year students. This experience is designed to allow incoming students to have fun, make lasting friendships, and ease the transition to college life.

Flourish
LGBTQ+ Student Services welcomes incoming first-year students, in the fullness of their identities, to explore the thriving Q鈥檓munity 麻豆官网首页入口 and in Baltimore City. Rooted in Loyola鈥檚 motto, 鈥淪trong truths well lived,鈥 Flourish invites students to live out their individual truths that nourish our diversity and collective wholeness. Explore the themes of community and belonging, LGBTQ+ history, queer resources and services, and advocacy for social change. Time will be spent on and off campus to get to know the people, resources, and communities that will help you thrive in your Loyola experience. And y'all know we're going to have a good time doing it!鈥
One Family
The ONE FAMILY Pre-Fall Program is a transformational four-day experience designed specifically for first-generation college students. This program provides first-year students with the chance to connect with peers, administrators, and faculty as they gain valuable insights into the many resources and opportunities available to them 麻豆官网首页入口.
Landing 麻豆官网首页入口
Landing 麻豆官网首页入口 is a three-day bridge program for students who identify as neurodivergent. This pre-fall program includes tailored sessions on academic and career resources, self-advocacy, and time to develop social connections 麻豆官网首页入口.
